GPDR for singers and actors
Are you a singer and use different platforms to reach out with your music? Are you an actor and have fans sending you messages online? In that case, you are under a legal duty to follow the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you do not follow the rules in the regulation, you can face penalty fees up to 20 million euros. Unfortunately, the rules in the GDPR are often misunderstood. It is not sufficient with having a privacy policy describing how you handle people’s personal data, if you do not follow your own privacy policy. Without vigorous cybersecurity routines you will share your own and other people’s personal data with thousands of companies – often without knowing it yourself.
In this seminar, we will discuss how you as a singer or an actor share your own and others personal data data to third parties, and what you can do to avoid it. We want to make your cybersecurity routines as good as possible, so that you can follow the rules of the GDPR and not have to face large penalty fees.
