Welcome to our introduction course in copyright law. Copyright laws are national laws, meaning that all countries have their own copyright laws. Many countries have signed and ratified different international conventions in relation to copyright, making the different national laws similar to each other. In this seminar you will learn about the Swedish Copyright Law, but we will also discuss similarities and differences with the copyright laws of other countries. In addition, we will also put the kibosh on the myth that you can always argue “fair use” when someone accuses you of copyright infringements.
